The Supreme Court on Thursday reserved its order in the case regarding dissolution of Bihar assembly keeping open the option of its revival when an order may be given before October 18, the first phase of the coming elections in the state.
A constitution bench, headed by Justice YK Sabharwal, which heard a bunch of petitions challenging the dissolution of Bihar assembly on the basis of the controversial report sent by Governor Buta Singh, gave this indication after arguments were concluded in the case.
Before it rose for the day, the bench said if it was going to strike down the Presidential proclamation dissolving the Bihar assembly then it would give a short order before October 18.
But if it was not going to do that then it would give a final judgement later, the bench said.
