Krishan, a former Rashtriya Janata Dal MP from Barh, is the main accused in the murder of Satyendra Singh, a transporter, who was killed on May 24.
The former MP, who had been absconding, was arrested from a relative’s house in Sector-30 in Faridabad.
A joint team of Bihar Police and the Special Cell of Delhi Police arrested him following a tip-off.
“An input was received from Bihar Police that Vijay Krishan, wanted in a murder case in Patna is hiding somewhere in Delhi,” said Alok Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Cell.
Subsequently, sources were deployed and surveillance mounted. In the meantime, a team of officers of Bihar Police joined the Special Cell team.
“On interrogation he confessed to his involvement in the murder of Singh,” Kumar said.
Sources said that only after Krishan’s son Chanakya, their driver and a gunman were arrested sometime back that the police zeroed in on the JD (U) leader. Police said interrogation of the three revealed Singh was killed at Chanakya’s Krishnapuri apartment in Patna.
