A team of Bihar Police on Saturday arrived in New Delhi to arrest controversial RJD MP Sadhu Yadav in connection with an assault case but could not find him, two days after he was involved in a high-voltage fracas in the Lok Sabha.
The team reached Yadav's 15-A, Janpath residence Saturday morning only to be told that the brother-in-law of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad was not there.
They returned after pasting on the front gate of his residence a notice of "proclamation requiring the appearance of the accused" which carried charges, including causing physical injury and criminal intimidation among others.
"The Parliamentarian is not here...After this advertisement necessary court proceedings will follow," said Mahesh Singh, an inspector from Mirganj police station who led the team.
