A woman jumped off a speeding express train, suffering injuries on her head and legs, to escape from molesters identified as army jawans near Ara junction in Bihar's Bhojpur district on Thursday, officials said.

Bhojpur DM Pratima Verma said the woman from Darjeeling jumped off the Dibrugarh-Delhi Brahmaputra Express at Jagjivan Halt.

The woman in her thirties was admitted to the Sadar Hospital at Ara, 50 km from Patna.

One of the molesters, identified as army jawan Ramesh Kumar, hailing from Himachal Pradesh, was caught by Assam Rifles man AD Upadhyay from the toilet where he was hiding, police sources said.
