Billiards tournament inaugurated

THE NATIONAL Billiards and Snooker Tournament cum camp inaugurated today at BHEL Senior Club. Sports Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia inaugurated the tournament. The matches in the tournament will start from Friday.

Various international players, including Geet Sethi, Pankaj Advai and others arrived to participate in the tournament. The tournament is to select players for the Doha Asian games to be organised in December.

Former world champion Manoj Kothari and his son demonstrated various technicals skills of the game in the function.

On the occasion, mayor Sunil Sood, MP Council of Sports vice-chairman Om Yadav, director Sports Sanjay Chaudhary, joint director Dr Vinod Pradhan and others were present, on the occasion.
