In Punjab, beatting the anti incumbency factor, the ruling SAD-BJP alliance was ahead in Punjab leading in 111 seats while Congress was leading in 38 as per trends available in the counting of votes for 117 assembly constituencies.

It was a close contest in Uttarakhand with the ruling BJP close behind with 25 seats and the Congress leading with 28 seats in trends available for 65 of the 70 assembly constituencies.

New faces seemed to be working for BJP as it was clearly leading in Goa with 9 seats while ruling Congress took an appalling 2.
