Talking to mediapersons jointly, party’s information and technology cell state president Dr Manoj Misra, education cell general secretary Dinesh Bhadouria, state general secretary of social welfare cell Raghvendra Singh and state vice-president of cultural cell Ashesh Singh urged the Centre to impose the President’s rule, if the chief minister did not resign.
The BJP leaders said as soon as Mulayam Singh Yadav had come to power, anarchism had started. They said as far as the appeasement of Muslims was concerned, the State and Centre had supported each other. This resulted in growing in incidents of terrorism and other anti-national activities, they added.
In the aftermath of attacks on places of worship, the State and the Central governments had lost people’s confidence. They said that the attack on Ayodhya, murder of BJP MLA Krishnand Rai, riots in Mau and Lucknow followed by recent bomb explosions at Sankat Mochan Temple in Varanasi proved that both the State and the Central governments were not capable to deal with any crisis situation.
They also said the BJP would organise a workers’ meet on March 12. The leaders urged the party workers to take part in the meeting in large numbers.
