BJP is a party of tired leaders: Vaghela

Vaghela on Wednesday said NDA would disintegrate if Gujarat CM Modi made an entry at the national level.

Terming BJP as the party of "tired" leaders, Union Minister for Textiles Shankar Singh Vaghela on Wednesday said the NDA would disintegrate if Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi made an entry at the national level.

"NDA will break if Modi leads the BJP election campaign at the national level. It is up to the BJP to decide whether it wants to toe the hardline or take along other partners," he told reporters in Lucknow in reply to a question.

"BJP is a party of tired leaders," Vaghela quipped.

To another question, the Textiles Minister said the Congress party was gaining in strength in Uttar Pradesh and expressed confidence that the party would fare well in the elections.
