BJP leader shot dead in UP

BJP leader Sriram Rawat is shot dead this morning by unidentified men in Kakori area.

BJP leader Sriram Rawat was shot dead by unidentified men in Kakori area in Lucknow on Thursday.

The incident took place this morning when Rawat was going somewhere and some unidentified youths opened fire at him. A critically injured Rawat was rushed to the Trauma centre where he succumbed to injuries.

Land dispute was stated to be the reason behind the firing. Rawat had contested the last Assembly elections on a BJP ticket.

Meanwhile, BJP has condemned the killing of Rawat alleging that there is no law and order in the state in Maywati's regime.
