BJP MP from Azamgarh arrested
BJP MP from Azamgarh Sadar constituency Ramakant Yadav was on Tuesday arrested in the district in connection with a murder and attempt to murder case lodged against him.

BJP MP from Azamgarh Sadar constituency Ramakant Yadav was on Tuesday arrested in the district in connection with a murder and attempt to murder case lodged against him.
“BJP MP Ramkant Yadav was arrested from Pathlipur Bazar area this evening and has been taken to Deedarganj police station,” Deputy Inspector General of Police K K Tripathi said.
A case of murder and attempt to murder was lodged against the MP on August 12 by Ulama Council after a clash between Yadav’s supporters and council activists in Jagdishpur area of Azamgarh district in which one youth was killed and two others injured.
