BJP MP Yogi Adityanath put under house arrest

The district administration put him under house arrest till February 15 in the Gorakhnath temple.

A day after BJP MP Yogi Adityanath was released on bail, the district administration put him under house arrest till February 15 in the Gorakhnath temple here on Thursday night. The administration took the decision, citing apprehension of violation of section 144 of the CrPC.

Gorakhnath circle officer AK Singh went to the temple, where Adityanath resides, and conveyed the decision to him around 9.20 pm. Following the move, security was beefed around the temple and paramilitary forces were deployed.

Meanwhile, the administration decided to relax curfew from 8 am to 8 pm in four police station areas of the city on Friday.
