"The INLD chief, Om Prakash Chautala, and his legislator son Ajay are languishing in jail for illegal recruitments, and the Bhupinder Singh Hooda is indulging in similar malpractices," Sharma told the media here.
Citing a recent Punjab and Haryana high court order setting aside the appointments of physical training instructors (PTI) to drive home his point, he said the court imposed a fine on the government and the recruitment panel, and alleged that the ruling was a testimony to the rampant corruption and favourtism prevalent in the state machinery. "Both the Congress and INLD are neck deep in corruption and they benefit their near and dear ones at the cost of deserving individuals."
Shifting into election gear, Sharma said the BJP and its ally Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) would examine the award of change of land use (CLU) licences during the Hooda rule. "To protect the interests of influential Robert Vadra, the government is troubling an honest bureaucrat, Ashok Khemka, for exposing the wrongdoings," he alleged.
The BJP state president said that of the 40 legislators from the Congress and its supporters, 10 were facing criminal charges. "The government gave a clean chit to legislators Zile Ram Sharma and Om Prakash Jain in an abetment to suicide case but the CBI court sent them to jail. The Congress and the INLD are exposed and the BJP-HJC alliance will come to power in the state," he said.
Sharma said a political rally would be organised in Sonepat on October 20, in which top BJP leaders, including Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj and Nitin Gadkari, would be present.
"The BJP-HJC alliance is seen as the only political alternative in the state and we are contacting masses in the ongoing Haryana Vijay Abhiyan, a political march initiated by HJC chief Kuldeep Bishnoi," Sharma added.
