BJP to harp on J&K militants' release

Controversial release of militants in the state would be made a poll plank in the coming elections in Himachal Pradesh, BJP says.

The controversial release of militants in the state would be made a poll plank in the coming elections in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir unit of the BJP says.

"We will raise the issue of release of militants and political prisoners besides worsening security situation in Jammu and Kashmir during our campaigning in coming Himachal Assembly elections," state BJP spokesperson Hari Om told reporters here.

About 50 BJP leaders from Jammu and Kashmir would campaign for the party in the neighbouring state, he said.
