BJP candidate and slain MLA Krishnanand Rai's wife Alka Rai on Sunday won the Mohammadabad Vidhan Sabha bypoll.

Alka Rai defeated her nearest Samajwadi party rival Sri Krishna by a margin of over 33,000 votes, official sources said in Ghazipur.
