BJP workers pray for Mahajan

A large number of activists recited Hanuman Chalisa 11 times at Senapati Bankati Dev Hanuman Temple in Durga Kund area on Sunday for Mahajan, who is under treatment at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai. The BJP workers also rendered devotional songs and organised a ‘hawan’ at Sri Siddheshwar Mahadev Mandir in Assi area on Sunday.

State BJP Executive Council member Ashok Pandey, State BJP (Intellectual Cell) vice-president Prof Kaushal Kishore Mishra, Devbrat Chaubey, Acharya Radheshyam Pandey, Dinesh Mishra, Umesh Tripathi, Pratap Singh, Shailendra Singh, Alok Rai and Pawan Sharma were among those who recited Hanuman Chalisa and participated in ‘hawan’.

A religious function was also organised at Sankat Mochan Temple on Saturday evening in which BJP activists recited Hanuman Chalisa. Senior party leader and former State Finance Minister Harishchandra Srivastava, BJP Mahanagar president Kailash Keshari, Dr Jyotsana Srivastava, Navratan Rathi, Purushottam Gupta, Sadhana Vedanti, Nirmala Singh Patel, Ravishanker Singh and Rakesh Trivedi were among other prominent BJP leaders who participated in the prayers.

Party workers also offered prayers in Pandeypur and Ashapur areas where Rajendra Singh, Narendra Srivastava and Gyanendra Pratap Singh were among the participants. Party activists also organised a prayer meeting in Ramnagar area in which Laxman Acharya, Santosh Dwivedi etc participated.
