Blackstone, the US-based private equity fund, is believed to be raising $4 billion from IPO in the US with an eye on India. The current investment of the group has touched $2.5 billion, and it has announced it is creating a $5 billion fund with Citigroup to invest in several Indian infrastructure projects. Blackstone's Asia Tigers Fund and the India Fund are believed to have pumpedin $2 billion picking up equity in Indian firms.
