Block pramukh kin?s murder: Property of accused attached
POLICE ATTACHED the property of prime accused Bheem Singh at Ghazipur on Wednesday in connection with the sensational murder of Vinod Singh, brother - in - law of the block pramukh of Karanda development block Sushila Singh on March 28.

Meanwhile, another absconding accused Bantu Singh surrendered in a court at Ghazipur today in connection with murder. Rajendra Singh had already surrendered in the court recently. Out of the three named accused, Rajendra and Bantu have surrendered while the third one, Bheem Singh is still absconding.To mount pressure on the absconding accused for surrendering before court, the police had got permission from the court to attach their property under Section 82. Soon after this legal process Rajendra Singh had surrendered before his property could be attached but rural property of Bheem Singh was attached on Tuesday while his property in city area in Ghazipur was attached today in the presence of a large number of police personnel.
Following the legal action of police for attaching property, another accused, Bantu Singh, nephew of Bheem Singh surrendered in the court today to avoid property attachment.
It may be noted that Vinod Singh, brother-in-law of newly elected block pramukh of Karanda development block Sushila Singh, was shot dead when he challenged a gang of miscreants, who hurled a bomb and opened shots on the moving car of the block pramukh in Karanda on March 28. In retaliation, the public had killed one of the attackers and another one was killed by the police during an encounter.
Gas tragedy due to faulty cylinder: GM
THE MANAGEMENT of Kanoria Chemicals Industries Limited (KCIL), which had a gas tragedy in its Renukoot manufacturing plant, causing death of some employees on March 29 recently, has made it clear that the tragedy took place due to rough quality of an iron cylinder welding of which had cracked.
General manager of KCIL Asit Roy said that the incident was still being probed by the high officials of the company to check such accidents in future.
