Blackheads are a common problem with most people. They occur due to an overproduction of oil in the skin’s pores. Squeezing them can lead to permanent scars and infections. Here are a few ways to get rid of them.

Home remedies
Apply a paste of fresh methi (fenugreek) for 10-15 minutes regularly.
Mix lemon juice with equal quantity of rose water. Leave on the face for half an hour. Do this for 15 days.
Apply 1 tsp groundnut oil mixed with 1 tsp fresh lime juice on the face for 10-15 minutes. It prevents blackheads from reappearing.
Apply paste of fresh lime juice and a glass of boiled milk as a face wash.
Make a paste of roasted and powdered pomegranate skin, mix it with fresh lime juice and apply on the face.

Quick steps
Wash your face with a cleanser. It should preferably contain benzoyl peroxide, which exfoliates the skin. Massage it into your skin using your fingers for several minutes. Don’t scrub harshly. Steaming also helps.
Use blackhead remover to pluck blackheads. Be gentle as too much pressure can lead to scarring. Once done, apply an antibacterial ointment to keep the area from getting infected.
