Blood donation marks Doctors? Day

BLOOD DONATION camps and seminars were organised in the city to mark Doctors? Day on Saturday. Baba Raghav Das Medical College principal Dr OP Singh donated blood, along with other doctors.

BLOOD DONATION camps and seminars were organised in the city to mark Doctors’ Day on Saturday.

Baba Raghav Das Medical College principal Dr OP Singh donated blood, along with other doctors.

Dr AK Gupta said a person between 18 and 60 years of age could donate blood at three- month intervals without harming his health. He said 300 ml blood could be donated at a time and a person had about five litres of blood coursing through his veins.

Indian Medical Association members also organised a seminar at Gorakhpur Club.

Dr Arvind Pandey, Dr Subodh Sharma, Dr Praveen Chand Tiwari, Dr Sanjay Srivastav and Dr Naveen Jain donated their blood. The NGO felicitated doctors for their contribution to society.

Those felicitated included Dr NBS Sarkari, Dr Mukul Mishra, Dr Durgesh Srivastav, Dr AK Shahi, AK Srivastav, Dr BB Gupta, Dr Dilip Mani Tripathi and many others.
