According to residents, Ashok Kumar, the victim, died on the spot. He was from Meerut and working here with a private firm.

A number of accidents have taken place at this point. The residents claimed that most of the accidents occurred due to a sharp turn near the exit gate.

The Nirvana Residents Welfare Association (NRWA) asked the developer to construct a speed breaker at this point several times, but no action was taken.

“Besides, speed breakers in Nirvana, wherever they exist, are not painted with white colour,” says Namita Singh, a resident.

In another incident that took place on Tuesday morning, an HR executive was injured after his bike was hit by an Alto car near Sohna Chowk. He was admitted to Sheetla Hospital, where his condition is said to be stable, police said.

“I was going on my bike. Suddenly a speeding Alto car hit my bike from behind when it took a turn near Sohna Chowk.

The driver was talking over his mobile phone when the accident happened,” Narender Rajian, the victim, said.
