The incident occurred in Radhikapuri Colony during 'Dwar pooja' after the marriage procession had reached bride Aarti's residence.
It is learnt that some drunken Baratis from the groom's side started dancing in a vulgar fashion on film songs. Under the influence of alcohol, some of them even took off their pants started dancing violently.
When rumours spread that some of them have misbehaved with the ladies, one group of baratis started beating the drunkards with lathis and rods. Later, it was found that it was a mere rumour.
Angry guests caught hold of some people and beat them black and blue for allegedly showing his private part. Later the violence spread leaving six injured and one dead.
Two people, Anil and Hari, have been arrested while search is on to arrest other four people as well.
