Blue House lift trophy

BLUE HOUSE today won the under-15 age group category of the St Michael?s Inter Cricket Tournament being organised by St Michael?s Cricket Academy (SMCA) at Bab-e-Aali Stadium.

BLUE HOUSE today won the under-15 age group category of the St Michael’s Inter Cricket Tournament being organised by St Michael’s Cricket Academy (SMCA) at Bab-e-Aali Stadium.

After the continuous low scores by the teams, the final match played between Blue House and Yellow saw the highest score in the tournament. Batting first after winning the toss, Blue House were all out for 182 runs in the stipulated 45 overs. It was the highest score set by any team in the tournament. Basit scored 41 runs.

Mohit and Azhar added 29 and 23 runs respectively for the team. Deepak and Ravish of Yellow House took four and three wickets respectively, but failed to stop opponents from scoring runs. Chasing the target of 183, Yellow House made a good start. But the batsmen were restricted by a tight fielding and good bowling and were not able to score freely after few overs.

The team that was batting smoothly suddenly stumbled. Impressive bowling by Basit and Mohit restricted team’s total to 121 in 30 overs. Blue House won the match by 63 runs.

Basit was declared man of the match.
