Bomb alert on Rajdhani proves to be hoax

The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad searched the train thoroughly, but no explosive device was found.

The Mumbai-New Delhi Rajdhani Express was halted at suburban Borivili railway station on Sunday evening for more than two hours after an anonymous phone call informed the police about a bomb planted on the train, which later proved to be a hoax.

The train was stopped at Borivali station after the call -- made from a PCO at Mumbai Central terminus -- at 4:44 pm, Railway Police said in Mumbai.

The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad searched the train thoroughly, but no explosive device was found, they said.

The train resumed its journey at 7.07 pm, Railway Police added.
