Superintendent of Police Adarsh Katiyar said a call was received at about 7.15 pm on control room number 100, stating that a bomb had been planted on the premises.
The MG Road Police immediately surrounded the building. The crowds were then asked to vacate the premise in such a way that a mad scramble was avoided. Fire tenders and police vehicles surrounded the area when the bomb disposal squad entered the place accompanied by sniffer dogs.
The police traced the call to a PCO. Katiyar told Hindustan Times that after thorough investigation of the premises, no bomb was found.
