Bomb scare grips Guwahati's Fancy Bazar

An unclaimed bag, suspected to contain a bomb, was on Saturday found in the busy Fancy Bazar in Guwahati, the scene of a recent bomb attack that killed 14 people.

The city's Additional Superintendent of Police Rajen Singh said the bag was found near a prominent hotel at 5.50 pm and the area was cordoned off.

The bomb disposal squad took away the bag to a safe location away from human habitation, Singh said.
