A bomb scare in the Mangalore-New Delhi Karnataka Express created panic on Sunday morning at the Hoshangabad railway station in Madhya Pradesh.

Railway authorities stopped the train at Hoshangabad at 10.40 am, 75 km from Bhopal, and asked passengers to get off as they carried out a search of the entire train.

"An anonymous caller called the railway station at 10 am and warned that a bomb had been planted on the train," oshangabad Police Superintendent VP Sharma said by telephone.
