"AICC in-charge for Assam M Veerapan Moily has conveyed the suspension of Bora from the party to the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee on Saturday," APCC president Bhubaneswar Kalita told PTI in Guwahati.

Without divulging any further details, the APCC president said the decision (of suspension) had to be taken by the AICC and has now been conveyed to the state unit.

The CBI in New Delhi arrested Bora for allegedly offering a bribe of Rs 10 lakh to a sleuth investigating a murder case against him. Bora is currently in judicial custody.
