Borge death probe: Reliance officials quizzed

"Now we shall corroborate these statements with the other statements available with the police and attempt to unravel the actual reasons leading to Borge's suicide or otherwise," Mumbai Railway Police Commissioner A K Sharma said.
Asked about the status of the case and the possible involvement of ADAG officials, Sharma said that "investigations are progressing in the matter".
"As for this business of giving anybody 'a clean chit' as is being speculated, that is not our job," Sharma said.
Borge, 43, lodged the first formal complaint with the Santa Cruz Airport police station last Thursday after discovering pebbles and mud in the fuel tank of Anil Ambani's private chopper - a clear attempt to sabotage the chopper. His body was found on the railway tracks between Andheri and Vile Parle railway stations in western Mumbai Tuesday morning.
Joint Police Commissioner (Crime) Rakesh Maria, meanwhile, reiterated that the police expect a "breakthrough" very soon into the Ambani chopper sabotage incident.
"Our probe is at an advanced stage and we are confident we should solve the case soon," Maria said, declining to elaborate on the issue.
The chopper 'sabotage' case, which was taken over by the Crime Branch after ADAG wrote to Chief Minister Ashok Chavan complaining of a conspiracy to eliminate Group chief Anil Ambani, took a new turn after Borge was found dead.
Borge's family has cried foul in the matter and demanded a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), even as ADAG decided to cancel its maintenance contract with Air Works.
On Wednesday ADAG cancelled its four-year-old maintenance contract with Air Works Indian Engineering that maintains the chopper used by the Reliance group chief.
