A suicide note recovered from the spot stated the reason behind the boy taking the extreme step was that he was teased as being a sissy.

The boy also had referred that he had registered a complaint with the school authorities but none had initiated any action.

The incident took place at Panchvati Colony, Rahim Nagar after Tushar Dwivedi alias Prashant (14) returned from his school around 1.45 pm. Tushar went straight to his room and bolted it from inside. He hanged himself from the ceiling fan. As he did not come out even after half-an-hour for the lunch the family members went to his room.

They knocked the door several times to get no response. Later, they peeped through the ventilator to found the boy hanging. Neighbours rushed to the house hearing screams and later informed the police.

The cops recovered a copy lying nearby in which the boy had referred the reason as, “Sab ladke mujhe chhakka keh ke chidhate rehte hain. Main tang aa gaya hoon sun sun ke kyonki school ke principal aur head boy bhi kuch nahi bolte hain meri shikayat ke baad bhi.”

As Tushar’s mother died a few years back, he had requested his father in the note to look after his siblings well. He further had stated that the principal and the teachers never took his complaints seriously following which the schoolmates were keep on teasing him every time. Unable to cope with the humiliation, he was taking the extreme step, the boy conclude the suicide note.
