Brazil will rock the world: Suhaag
Indian polo player Samir Suhaag craves to watch Ronaldinho in action.india Updated: May 19, 2006 11:26 IST
Even though most of the year, I'm busy with what I am best at - playing polo - I'll make sure I'm glued to my TV set once the World Cup is on.
This year, too, I'm looking forward to catch the World Cup action with my friends and family. Like most people who follow soccer, I will also support the Brazilians. And this time, too, I think they will go ahead and win the World Cup.
The most exciting part about watching Brazil is Ronaldinho's penalties and Roberto Carlos' free kicks. Earlier, for me Roberto Carlos was the player to watch. Since then, it is Ronaldinho who has taken the football scene by storm, and his sheer presence on the field excites me.
Even my polo mates from around the world enthusiastically support the Brazilians, and watching Ronaldinho in action against some of the best teams in the world is what we crave for during the World Cup.
I fondly remember the 1998 World Cup final. With France the underdogs against defending champions Brazil, things seemed pretty obvious. But in a flash, the match took a very interesting turn when Zinedine Zidane scored two brilliant goals and France emerged winners.
Hopefully, this time too, we will get too see some exciting contests. Surely, Brazil are going to rock the World Cup again in Germany.
