A BSc student allegedly committed suicide on Saturday after failing in his final year exam, police said.

A BSc student allegedly committed suicide on Saturday after failing in his final year exam, police said.
Pavitra Dubey, hailing from Kannuaj, was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his rented room by his neighbours in Kanpur.
A suicide note found near the body said that he was taking the extreme step as he had failed in his exam, police said.
However, Dubey's family alleged foul play claiming that his feet were touching the ground when he was found dead. They claimed he was murdered and later hanged from the fan.
Police said they were investigating the case. The body has been sent for a post mortem.
