The Budget session of Parliament is likely to start on February 23 and the general Budget for the 2006-07 will be presented on February 28, official sources said on Thursday.

The session which will begin with President's address to the joint sitting of Parliament will outline the government policies in the new year.

The general Budget will be preceded by presentation of Railway Budget for 2006-07 and tabling of the economic survey which is the government's report card of the economy.
