A prisoner, lodged at the Burdwan Correctional Home for the past one year, has been allegedly found posting his pictures of himself and of other inmates on social networking site Facebook, thus causing a flutter among the administration .

Confirming receiving the report of prisoner Vishal Singh posting pictures of his and some other jail inmates for past few months, a top district official said, “We are holding a probe.”

The official said none will be spared if any irregularities were found with respect to prison security.

Singh was arrested a year ago in a narcotics case. The ADM said the authorities were also looking into allegations that he chatted on FB with outside friends and this was a serious charge.

Superintendent of Correctional Home, Subharata Chatterjee said he was looking into the report.
