The cable operators started their indefinite dharna at Tin Shed today. Earlier, the police had not given the permission to stage dharna.

The Association also alleged that the MSOs were breaking the established rules of the cable operations. Association president Arvind Agrawal alleged that police were harassing them. Agrawal said that the cable operators were being summoned to the police stations and being pressurised at the behest of an MSO.

He said that the State Government should form a committee to establish rules for streamlining the services. The cable operators alleged that such problems between the MSOs or cable operators were cropping up the State. Therefore, there should be rules in dealing with such circumstances, they added.

The recent spat of cable war started about a week back when large-scale cable cutting was carried out all over the City. Ever since, the cable services have been stopped. The MSOs and cable operators are blaming each other for the present situation.
