Talking to media persons, he called upon the nationalist forces to give a befitting reply to those who were opposed to Vande Mataram recital.
Adityanath condemned the political parties for creating confusion over the song, He claimed that recital of the national song during the freedom struggle generated a current of patriotism. Opposition to recital of this song should be treated as an insult to the freedom fighters.
He said that the anti-national forces were active and damaging the Indian economy by circulating fake stamp papers and smuggling pressing narcotics into the country.
He demanded that government should take stringent action against such forces. Adityanath said that a collective recital of Vande Matram would be organised at Indira crossing on September 7 at 8.30.
He appealed to the nationalist forces to ensure the success of the programme to mark 100 years of the song.
Meanwhile, the BJP activists took out a procession to raise awareness about the importance of the song. The procession passed through various routes and converted into a meeting at statue of Ram Prasad Bismil.
Speaking on the occasion state president of the BJP education cell Dr Vibhrat Chand Kaushik said that the recital of the song generated a spirit of nationalism.
He condemned the Fatwas issued by the religious leaders to boycott the recital of the song.
