State Congress president Salman Khurshid and many cabinet ministers in the State Government are camping here and monitoring the election campaign for SP candidate Rambhual Nishad.

There seems to be a direct fight between SP candidate Rambhual Nishad and BJP’s Shital Pandey.

On Wednesday, Hindu Mahasabha leader Rakesh Singh flagged off a motorcycle procession of Vahini activists to intensify the election campaign. Similarly, state minister Jaiprakash Yadav also flagged off a motorcycle rally of SP Yuvjan Sabha to spread the message of Mulayam Singh and to convince the people.

On Wednesday, SP MLC Ganesh Shanker, MLA Sharda Devi, Kamlesh Paswan and senior leader Pahelwan Singh highlighted the pro-people decisions of the Mulayam Singh Government and said the reduced registration fee in government hospitals, Rs 20,000 for promoting girls’ education under Kanya Vidya Dhan scheme and Rs 500 per month as unemployment allowances were historical decisions.

They said Mulayam Singh Yadav was an able leader and he had fulfilled all the promises.
