Cancellation of flights causes tension at airport
Angered over cancellation of two flights bound for Dubai and Abu Dhabi, passengers created a stir at the International Airport in Thiruvananthapuram, police said on Thursday.

Angered over cancellation of two flights bound for Dubai and Abu Dhabi, passengers created a stir at the International Airport in Thiruvananthapuram, police said on Thursday.
Passengers who were scheduled to take the 539-Thiruvananthapuram-Dubai and 531-Thiruvnathapuram-Abu Dabhi flights, raised slogans at the airport when the cancellation of the flights due to inclement weather was announced on Wednesday, police said.
The passengers got irate as the flights scheduled to depart at 19.50 hrs were cancelled after the emigration process.
The two delayed flights left with passengers on Thursday morning, airport officials said, adding that the stranded passengers were accomodated in a city hotel.
