A cargo plane carrying telecom equipment crashed in eastern Congo, killing as many as eight passengers and crew on board, UN officials said on Friday.
The plane carrying the gear from Kisangani to Goma, near the border with Rwanda, went down late on Thursday and everyone aboard died in the crash, UN spokesman Billy Bilamekaso Tchagele said.
The plane carried five passengers and either two or three crew, he said.
