Australian weightlifter Caroline Pileggi was in the line of lifters to be omitted from the Olympic squad.

She was dropped from the team after refusing to supply a urine sample when asked by testers at a training camp.

She was to create history by being the first Australian women competing in the weightlifting event at the Olympics but now faces a two year ban for her refusal.

She also failed in her appeal against a ruling by the Australian Sports Drug Agency which certainly ends her route to Athens.
