CBI sources said that the CDs contain soft copies of certain forensic reports and other documents gathered during investigation stages. The CDs were sealed and opened in front of the court before the hand-over.

The CBI special judge had on Monday partially allowed some documents to be handed over to the Talwars after they filed an application before the court. The CBI has so far maintained that these documents cannot be relied upon.

Citing a previous Constitution bench judgment, the court had also declined handing over of CrPC 161 statements of Krishna Thadarai, stating that he was not proposed to be examined. Likewise, the court also declined handing over of narco-analysis reports of both Krishna and Raj Kumar.

Another hearing in the case is slated for Wednesday where arguments over framing of charges are likely to come up. The Supreme Court will also hear arguments on Nupur's review petition on Wednesday.
