CBSE National Athletics Meet from Jan 2

MAHARISHI VIDYA Mandir (MVM), Ratanpur, will host the CBSE National Athletics Meet to be organised in Tatya Tope Stadium in Bhopal from January 2.

Over 3000 school-level sportspersons from the schools affiliated to CBSE will be participating in the five-day meet. Talking to the mediapersons, organising secretary and principal S N Rai said that players from 28 states and schools with various embassies including gulf countries would participate in the meet.

There will be 68 different athletic events in which athletes who have ranked first and second in each event will come to participate. Regarding the facilities to the players, Rai said that all arrangements including lodging, boarding and transportation have been arranged.

The organisers will take the support from Sports and Youth Welfare Department, Madhya Pradesh Athletics Association, Barkatullah University and various national and international athletes.
