THE SANJAY Joshi CD episode echoed in the BJP Legislature Party meeting today with senior leader Kailash Joshi cautioning the MLAs against nationwide smear campaign against the party. “ This (the CD episode) was part of the campaign but the MLAs need not be demoralised by it,” he said.

The meeting discussed strategy for the winter session against the Opposition ’s onslaught on the government. The meeting was held at the State BJP office. Legislature party meetings are usually held at the CM House but as Shivraj Singh Chouhan has not moved to the official Shyamala Hills bungalow and his present B-8, 74 bungalow does not have adequate space for such a meeting, it was held at the party office.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, State BJP-in-charge Kailash Joshi and state general secretary (organisation) Kaptan Singh Solanki asked the MLAs and ministers to polish the party’s image with their conduct in the Assembly.

The MLAs were told that the power crisis would be resolved soon, hence they need not be defensive against the Congress’ aggressive stance on the issue. They should be well read and prepared to understand the issues during the assembly. Joshi exhorted the MLAs to extensively tour their constituencies after the winter session and convey message to the party workers that they should not be disheartened because of the CD episode.

The MLAs were also told to keep in touch with the electorate and keep informing party leaders and the CM about problems in their areas. The meeting also discussed the bills to be put up in the Assembly during the session.
