Chibhabha made his luckless debut against India and struggled in the U-19 Afro Asian Cup. But, he bounced back with consecutive half-centuries in the opening matches of the tour of the Caribbean in 2006.

On the West Indian tour he proved his worth at the third position in the line-up. He was particularly impressive against the fast bowlers.

Chibhabha is an excellent fielder.
