Later, Jammu and Delhi also banned the film that was slated to be released on Friday.

An angry Kuljinder Sidhu, the producer and lead actor of the movie, termed the ban “shameful”. He said “Instigated by a few anti-social elements, this impotent government (Punjab) got an excuse to ban my movie. When the censor board has approved it, and even the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has given a nod, I don’t understand this ban.”

Sidhu said he had tried to meet Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal and his deputy Sukhbir Singh Badal, but didn’t get their appointment.
