Chargesheet filed in Hyderabad twin blasts case

Andhra Pradesh police on Saturday filed third and final chargesheet against seven accused in the 2007 twin bomb blasts which left at least 40 people dead in Hyderabad.

Andhra Pradesh police on Saturday filed third and final chargesheet against seven accused in the 2007 twin bomb blasts which left at least 40 people dead in Hyderabad.

Blasts at Lumbini Park and Gokul Chaat in the state capital on August 25 two years ago had also left several injured.
The 11,95 page chargesheet was filed by Organisation to Counter Terrorists Operations (OCTOPUS), a special team of state police investigating the blasts cases, before First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate.

Of the seven accused named in the chargesheet, four are in judicial custody while the rest are absconding.

Four of the accused -- Aniq Shafique Sayeed alias Anique alias Khaled, Mohammed Akbar Ismail Chowdhari alias Sayeed alias Vinod Patil, Farooq Sharifuddin Tarkash alias Abdullah, Mohammed Sadiq Israr Ahmed Shaikh alias Yaseer alias Imran -- have been brought in Hyderabad on transit remand from MCOCA court, Mumbai.

They were arrested by Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Mumbai police.

Other three accused in the case Riyaz Bhatkal alias Roshan Khan alias Ahmad Bhai, Iqbal Bhatkal alias Mohammed Bhai and Amir Reza Khan alias Muttaki are absconding.
