The actor was arrested on June 14 after a maid who used to work at his residence alleged that she was raped by the actor. Ahuja is currently lodged in the Arthur Road jail.

The chargesheet filed by the Oshiwara police in the Andheri metropolitan magistrate’s court on Wednesday contained the statements of the witnesses, the medical reports and the statement of the victim taken under Section 164 of the criminal procedure code (CrPC).

“In all, there are 12 witnesses... seven are independent while the rest include the investigating officer, medical officer and panch witnesses,” said Public Prosecutor S.S. Kasture.

On Thursday, a magistrate’s court extended Ahuja judicial custody till August 27 and the case was committed to the sessions court for trial.
