Charred body of cop found in Badshahpur

The body of a 22-year-old man, who was found along Badshahpur Road on Wednesday, was of a Haryana police constable, the police said on Thursday.

The body of a 22-year-old man, who was found along Badshahpur Road on Wednesday, was of a Haryana police constable, the police said on Thursday.

The victim has been identified as Devender Kumar Thakur, a resident of Hasanpur village in Faridabad. He was posted at Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi.

Thakur was allegedly kidnapped from his village on Tuesday. The victim's family had lodged a police complaint in Faridabad.

The body was found in the bushes near Behrampur under DLF City Phase 1 police station. A pedestrian spotted the body and informed the police. The face of the victim was completely burnt.

According to the police, someone hit him hard on head and neck and his face was burnt completely. The body has been handed over to the victim's family after post-mortem.
