"The newly elected legislators would meet tomorrow and by December six they will choose their leader in the presence of the central leadership", he told a TV news channel at Raipur.

Asked if he was in the race for chief ministership, Singh said "as party president my job is to ensure that the party comes to power".

"We projected a collective leadership in the state during the campaign period", he said and added that the collective leadership included Ramesh Vaish and Dilip Singh Judeo also.

"We do not have any inner battle regarding the issue of chief ministership," he said adding categorically that nobody was in the race at present.
