A child was today injured in a landmine explosion at Devigarh near the India-Pakistan border.

A child was on Friday injured in a landmine explosion at Devigarh near the India-Pakistan border, officials said.

Ten-year-old Shivan Kumar picked up an anti-personnel mine from an agricultural field near the border at Devigarh in Jammu district, 45 km from Jammu, they said.

He was playing with the mine when it exploded and critically injured him, they said adding Kumar had been hospitalised.
