Clarke in Aussie ODI squad for VB series
Batsman Michael Clarke was on Saturday included in an unchanged 14-man Australian squad for this month's triangular one-day cricket series against Pakistan and the West Indies, subject to a fitness test.
The young batsman injured his right foot during this week's third Test victory over Pakistan, but scans revealed no stress fractures.
Limited-overs specialists Brad Hogg and Andrew Symonds were both included in the same squad which tied with New Zealand in the Chappell-Hadlee series last month.
"Choosing a 14-man squad will provide the opportunity for players who play both forms of the game to have a break from time to time throughout the series," chairman of selectors Trevor Hohns said in a statement on Saturday.
"We will make those decisions in conjunction with team management as the series progresses."
Australia open the series against the West Indies at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on January 14.
Australia: Ricky Ponting (captain), Adam Gilchrist, Michael Clarke, Jason Gillespie, Matthew Hayden, Brad Hogg, Michael Kasprowicz, Simon Katich, Shane Watson, Brett Lee, Darren Lehmann, Damien Martyn, Glenn McGrath, Andrew Symonds
